cover letter

Hi Team,

My name is Ilya and I really want to help your clients create technically clean, secure and scalable solutions with a high success rate of end user experience. For now, I have been working in a widely distributed multi-national global IT team of Japan Tabaco International (JTI) for almost more than 2 years. During this time, I have been involved as a technical specialist and architectural manager in several major projects, leading key activities and have been the single point of contact for various technical and project teams. Now my portfolio includes such complex projects as changing corporate antivirus on more than 20,000 PCs or cross-tenant user migration for more than 16,000 of accounts (including OneDrive and Exchange user data). So, I’m sure that I can bring good business value for EPAM clients.

Looking back on my experience, I can say that I have good skills in planning, building and managing cloud and self-managed on-premises solutions from idea to end user support. For example, a few years ago, while working as a system administrator, I implemented ownCloud, a self-managed collaboration tool deployed in Docker containers, to meet the company’s needs for internal storage of business data, including high availability and scalability. In my current position, I deal with tasks related to cloud resources and Microsoft services such as Power Platform, Azure AD, licensing. I also evaluate Power Platform solutions before providing the required infrastructure: environments, DLP, Azure resource groups, PowerBI workspaces, etc. On top of all this technical background, I have strong soft skills, the ability to organize work in a group and work in a team with distributed responsibilities.

Why do I choose EPAM? I’ll be honest. I have several reasons. First — EPAM is a great company, where many of my friends work now, and I respect their opinion. Everyone is saying: “If you are a good specialist who does not stop learning and exploring, if you are striving to improve your skills and work for results, then EPAM will appreciate you and you will quickly find your path in this company”. The second reason is simpler. I am currently working from Russia. And I don’t want to lose the opportunity to be a part of a worldwide network of IT professionals and have any barriers to learning new skills. Therefore, I am looking for a job with the possibility of relocation.

Thank you for taking the time to read my cover letter. I hope it helped to build some impression about me. Take care. Hoping for further cooperation.

Regards,

Ilya.
